Role Summary
Zoetis India Capability Center (ZICC) is looking for a DevOps Engineer in Hyderabad to design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and deployment processes. The role focuses on Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, infrastructure automation, containerization, security, production support, and SAP Commerce Cloud environments in a globally distributed environment.
Key Responsibilities
- CI/CD Engineering: Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines and automated build, testing, release, and deployment processes using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure Pipelines.
- Azure Infrastructure: Configure, manage, and optimize Azure resources including Virtual Machines, Storage, Networking, Azure Kubernetes Service, and other Azure services.
- Infrastructure as Code: Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
- Monitoring & Observability: Configure Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and Kusto Queries to monitor applications, infrastructure, performance, and system health.
- Production Support: Investigate and resolve DevOps pipeline, infrastructure, cloud application, integration, and system outage issues.
- Security & Access: Implement Azure security best practices, manage Azure Active Directory permissions, role-based access control, SSL/TLS, encryption keys, users, groups, and roles.
- Database & Disaster Recovery: Manage database backups, point-in-time recovery, disaster recovery strategies, and Azure SQL performance optimization in collaboration with DBAs.
- SAP Commerce Cloud: Install, configure, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot SAP Commerce Cloud environments across cloud and on-premises deployments.
- Application Integration: Configure and troubleshoot integrations between SAP Commerce Cloud and SAP S/4HANA, including APIs, middleware, and third-party applications.
- Containerization: Support Docker and Kubernetes-based application environments and deployments.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop scripts for server configuration, monitoring, administration, and operational automation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with development, QA, infrastructure, network, IDAM, security, and DBA teams to improve DevOps processes and resolve technical challenges.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with DevOps platform trends and implement improvements to system reliability, scalability, performance, and deployment efficiency.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on Azure DevOps engineering experience.
- Azure: Strong experience with Microsoft Azure services including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and Azure Kubernetes Service.
- Azure DevOps: Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps Pipelines, Boards, Repos, and Artifacts.
- CI/CD: Strong understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment concepts and hands-on experience with DevOps pipelines.
- Infrastructure Automation: Experience with Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep for infrastructure as code.
- Containers: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Scripting: Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Monitoring: Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, or related monitoring platforms.
- DevOps Tools: Experience with Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Sonar, Kibana, and Dynatrace.
- Software Delivery: Understanding of version control, QA, build/release management, CI, and regression testing practices.
- SAP Commerce: Knowledge of SAP Commerce Cloud and integration with SAP ERP/SAP S/4HANA is advantageous.
- E-Commerce Platforms: Understanding of Hybris Tomcat cluster environments, Apache web servers, and CDN technologies is advantageous.
- Certification: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert certification (AZ-400).
- Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in globally distributed teams.
- Work Arrangement: Ability to work from the Hyderabad office for approximately 50% of the month.
