Role Summary
Yugabyte is looking for a Sr Software Engineer - Security Engineering in India to strengthen its security engineering and operations capabilities. The role is hands-on and focuses on vulnerability management, security monitoring, platform hardening, security automation, security tooling, and AI-assisted security workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Security Monitoring: Develop and operate security monitoring and detection capabilities to identify and respond to security risks.
- Vulnerability Management: Manage vulnerability identification and coordinate remediation activities across engineering and infrastructure teams.
- Security Tooling: Administer, improve, and operationalize security tools and platforms.
- Hardening: Drive platform and image hardening initiatives to strengthen the security of infrastructure and applications.
- Security Automation: Develop automation, playbooks, and operational processes using scripting and security engineering practices.
- Compliance: Support implementation and operation of security controls required for compliance initiatives.
- AI-Assisted Security: Apply AI tools and workflows to accelerate security engineering and operational activities.
- Collaboration: Partner with engineering, infrastructure, and compliance teams to improve security readiness and reduce security risks.
Key Qualifications
- Education: BS/MS degree in a relevant discipline.
- Experience: 5–8 years of experience in the security domain.
- Automation: Strong hands-on automation skills using Bash and Python.
- AI Tools: Practical experience using AI tools to accelerate engineering and security operations.
- Infrastructure: Familiarity with modern SaaS infrastructure and application development.
- Security: Familiarity with major security protocols and security engineering practices.
- Professional Skills: Strong collaboration, transparency, and integrity.
