Role Summary
Xeo Software is seeking a Senior Automation QA Analyst with strong hands-on expertise in Playwright and practical experience with Selenium-based automation frameworks. The role focuses on building scalable automation solutions, integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, improving test coverage, and driving software quality across modern web applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Automation Frameworks: Design, implement, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, and Python.
- Test Automation: Develop and execute functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end automated test suites.
- Cross-Browser Testing: Validate web applications across multiple browsers and devices to ensure consistent functionality.
- CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
- Web & API Testing: Test modern web applications, APIs, and user workflows for reliability and functional quality.
- Defect Analysis: Investigate automation failures, perform root cause analysis, debug issues, and provide actionable defect reports.
- Code Quality: Develop reusable automation components, maintain coding standards, and implement sustainable QA automation practices.
- Mentorship: Guide junior QA engineers on Playwright implementation, automation strategies, debugging, and testing methodologies.
- Continuous Improvement: Evaluate emerging automation tools and frameworks to improve test coverage, execution speed, and automation efficiency.
Key Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
- Strong hands-on experience building automated test frameworks and test suites using Playwright.
- Practical experience with Selenium WebDriver and Selenium-based automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and/or Python for automation scripting.
- Experience with Playwright Test, PyTest, Jest, Mocha, TestNG, or similar testing frameworks.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
- Hands-on experience with API testing using Postman, REST Assured, Playwright API Testing, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of functional, regression, smoke, cross-browser, end-to-end, and API testing.
- Experience with Git-based development and collaborative workflows.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis capabilities.
- Experience with Cucumber/Behave, Docker, BrowserStack/Sauce Labs, JMeter/Locust, or modern SPA testing is advantageous.
