Role Summary
Xendit is seeking an agile, highly analytical FinOps Recons Associate to join our Financial Operations team supporting enterprise payment operations in India and across Southeast Asia. In this full-time role, you will be part of a high-impact team dedicated to owning, executing, and automating end-to-end financial reconciliations across all Xendit products and markets. You will maintain complete oversight of fund movements, ensure zero exposure to transaction discrepancies or money loss, resolve root causes of unreconciled items, and establish robust reconciliation frameworks for newly launched payment products.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Reconciliation Ownership: Own and execute daily financial reconciliation cycles across all regional payment products, verifying that all transaction funds move accurately across banking channels and partner networks.
- Discrepancy Investigation & Resolution: Detect transaction variances, identify root causes of unreconciled breaks, and collaborate with Product, Partnerships, Engineering, and Finance teams to drive swift remediation.
- Reconciliation Automation: Partner with technical and product squads to design, test, and implement automated reconciliation workflows to eliminate manual intervention and safeguard against financial exposure.
- New Product & Market Onboarding: Design and implement standardized reconciliation procedures for newly launched payment methods, localized FX routes, and geographic expansions.
- Stakeholder & Bank Coordination: Interface with financial institutions, banking partners, and internal business owners to resolve operational settlement issues and maintain clean audit trails.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in financial operations, payment reconciliation, or finance operations within a fast-paced fintech, startup, or banking environment.
- Core Competencies: Proven ability to analyze complex data patterns, detect anomalies under tight deadlines, and perform deep-dive root-cause problem solving.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel formulas, lookups, and pivot tables) and business communication in English.
- Preferred Capabilities: Hands-on experience with SQL querying, specialized automated reconciliation software, multi-currency payment flows, and working knowledge of banking settlement rails.
