Role Overview
Visa Corporate IT is seeking a hands-on Senior Software Engineer specializing in Python and GenAI Automation Development in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India (Hybrid: minimum 3 days in-office). In this intelligent automation and development role, you will design, build, and deploy automation solutions, AI agents, and workflow systems for QA, endpoint validation, and enterprise operations. Leveraging Python, Large Language Models (LLMs), and agentic frameworks, you will build cross-platform tools interfacing with Windows and macOS environments to automate manual processes, accelerate troubleshooting, and integrate enterprise systems.
Core Responsibilities
- Intelligent Automation Development: Design, code, test, and maintain automated solutions, reusable connectors, and test modules using Python.
- GenAI & Agent Engineering: Build GenAI-powered applications, AI agents, and orchestration workflows using LLMs for automated knowledge retrieval, test generation, failure analysis, incident triage, and evidence summarization.
- System Integrations: Connect automation scripts and agent tools with enterprise APIs, telemetry endpoints, data repositories, and workflow platforms via JSON/REST interfaces.
- Cross-Platform Validation: Apply functional understanding of Windows and macOS (processes, services, logs, command-line operations, software installation) to execute cross-platform tests and diagnose failures.
- Quality & Governance: Integrate exception handling, automated logging, auditability checkpoints, and human-in-the-loop approvals across production automation pipelines.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with QA, engineering, endpoint management, security, and operations teams to translate manual procedures into automated workflows.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of hands-on software development experience with a focus on Python automation and Generative AI workflows.
- Core Programming: Strong hands-on coding proficiency in Python, API interactions, JSON handling, debugging, logging, and source control management.
- GenAI & LLM Architecture: Demonstrated experience delivering projects with Large Language Models, prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and agent frameworks (such as LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, CrewAI, or AutoGen).
- Operating System Basics: Basic working knowledge of Windows and macOS environments, including CLI navigation, service troubleshooting, and system log collection.
- Preferred Technical Exposure: Familiarity with testing frameworks (pytest, Playwright, Selenium, Robot Framework), vector databases, tool/function calling, Model Context Protocol (MCP), CI/CD tooling (GitHub, Azure DevOps), scripting in PowerShell or Bash, and enterprise management tools (ServiceNow, Intune, SCCM, JAMF).
