Role Summary
Visa is hiring an Associate Cybersecurity Analyst - Applied Cryptography for its Applied Cryptography team in Bengaluru, Karnataka (Hybrid - 3 days in office). In this foundational cybersecurity engineering role, you will assist in the implementation, maintenance, and support of Visa's Enterprise Encryption Services, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Key Management Systems, and Hardware Security Modules (HSM). You will handle certificate requests, troubleshoot PKI/HSM services, manage asset inventories, and support security compliance across payment and data protection environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Encryption & Cryptography Support: Assist in maintaining enterprise encryption services protecting Data at Rest, Data in Flight, and Transaction Data across operating systems and databases.
- PKI & HSM Operations: Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot PKI infrastructure and FIPS 140-2 certified Hardware Security Modules (payment and general-purpose HSMs).
- Certificate Management: Fulfill certificate management requests within SLA guidelines, utilizing defined procedures and change control workflows.
- Key Custodianship & Governance: Support and facilitate the Global Key Custodian Program and PKI Vetter program while documenting system architecture and operational runbooks.
- Incident Resolution & Audits: Monitor cryptographic infrastructure, resolve ticketed issues, and compile technical documentation for compliance and security audits.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent discipline (OR 3+ years of relevant work experience).
- Experience: 0 to 3 years of work experience in cybersecurity, system administration, or IT operations.
- Cryptographic Fundamentals: Core understanding of symmetric/asymmetric encryption, hashing algorithms, digital certificates, and security protocols.
- Technical Familiarity: Hands-on exposure or knowledge regarding PKI environments, HSMs, Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), and database security mechanisms.
- Soft Skills: Strong troubleshooting ability, clear written communication for technical documentation, and readiness to collaborate in a hybrid setup (3 days/week on-site).
