Role Summary
Thoughtworks is hiring a Software Procurement Intern for its office in Gurugram (Gurgaon), Haryana (with remote/hybrid alignment for Bengaluru and Pune). In this operational procurement role, you will work closely with the Software Procurement Lead to manage the end-to-end lifecycle of global software assets, vendor contracts, purchase orders, and SaaS subscriptions using enterprise procurement platforms like Coupa and ServiceNow. You will collaborate with Finance, InfoSec, Legal, and CloudOps teams to optimize software spending and ensure compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Operations & Coupa Management: Manage software request ingestion, onboard suppliers, generate Purchase Orders (POs), and maintain virtual contracts within Coupa, Expensify, and Zendesk.
- Vendor & Renewal Management: Coordinate directly with global SaaS vendors (e.g., JetBrains, LinkedIn, Snowflake), track renewal deadlines, evaluate license utilization, and negotiate pricing models.
- Financial & Budget Governance: Validate invoices with Accounts Payable, resolve billing discrepancies, manage credit-based/pay-as-you-go subscriptions, and allocate software costs across business units.
- Software Asset Management & Compliance: Track software license entitlements in ServiceNow (SNOW), support AWS account provisioning with CloudOps, and ensure compliance with regional legal and InfoSec guidelines.
Key Qualifications
- Education: MBA or PGDM graduate (2026 pass-out batch preferred) with a specialization in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Strategic Sourcing.
- Experience: Freshers or candidates with relevant procurement internship/project experience.
- Mandatory Technical Stack: Procurement platforms (Coupa, ServiceNow, Expensify), Software Asset Management (SAM) concepts, PO processing, and Excel data analysis.
- Preferred Technical Exposure: Zendesk, cloud account provisioning (AWS), software licensing terms, and contract negotiation basics.
- Work Setup: Onsite internship based in the Gurgaon office.
