Embedded C++ Developer / ECU Software Engineer

Role Summary

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is hiring an experienced Embedded C++ Developer for its technology team in Bengaluru, Karnataka. In this role, you will design and develop embedded software systems, implement POSIX/Linux/QNX-based architectures, and build inter-process communication (IPC) frameworks using C++, SOME/IP, and Ethernet protocols. You will also utilize MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow for model-based development, and perform hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) debugging using industry-standard tools like Trace32 and CANape within Classic and Adaptive AUTOSAR environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Embedded C++ Development: Architect and develop high-performance embedded software modules using C++, Object-Oriented Analysis, STL, and POSIX multithreading across Linux and QNX operating systems.
• Model-Based Development: Design and simulate embedded control algorithms and state machines using MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow.
• IPC & Automotive Protocols: Develop Inter-Process Communication (IPC) pipelines, socket signals, semaphores, and Ethernet (SOME/IP) API features for automotive ECUs.
• Hardware Debugging & Log Analysis: Analyze network logs, decode fault codes, debug startup routines, and perform issue analysis using Trace32, CANape, and signal analyzers.
• CI/CD & AUTOSAR Integration: Integrate software artifacts into Classic/Adaptive AUTOSAR platforms while leveraging continuous integration tools like GitLab CI and Jenkins.

Key Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech) in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Automotive Engineering, or related technical disciplines.
• Experience: 4 to 13 years of applied software development experience in embedded systems and automotive technologies.
• Mandatory Technical Stack: Modern C++, STL, Multithreading, POSIX OS/Linux/QNX, MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, Inter-Process Communication (IPC), and SOME/IP Ethernet protocols.
• Preferred Technical Exposure: Classic & Adaptive AUTOSAR, Trace32, CANape, GitLab CI/Jenkins pipelines, and ECU virtualization.
