Azure Linux Administrator

Role Summary

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is conducting a walk-in interview drive for an Azure Linux Administrator at its Hyderabad location. In this role, you will manage, deploy, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) hosted on Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure. You will oversee VM provisioning, network configuration, storage management, security hardening, system patching, and routine task automation using Shell/Bash scripts.

Key Responsibilities

• Linux & Azure Administration: Manage and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) across Azure Virtual Machines, VNets, and Azure Storage Accounts.
• Infrastructure Security & Networking: Configure Network Security Groups (NSGs), Azure Load Balancers, access controls, TCP/IP networking, DNS, and system hardening rules.
• Maintenance & Patching: Perform OS installation, regular patching, system upgrades, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
• Automation & Backup Support: Automate routine administration tasks using Shell/Bash scripting and support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
• Operational Support: Monitor system health, troubleshoot Linux OS issues, and maintain technical operational documentation.

Key Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Computer Science or related degree.
• Experience: 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in Linux server administration and Microsoft Azure cloud operations.
• Mandatory Technical Stack: Deep proficiency in RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu Linux administration, Azure VMs, VNets, NSGs, Azure Storage Accounts, Azure Load Balancers, and Shell/Bash scripting.
• Good to Have Skills: Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, CI/CD pipelines, Python, and Azure Certifications (AZ-104 or AZ-305).
