Role Summary
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is hiring an experienced AI Engineer specializing in Generative AI and Agentic Systems to join our Technology practice in Hyderabad. In this role, you will architect, build, and deploy production-grade enterprise AI applications. You will engineer multi-agent orchestration frameworks using graph-based workflows, design advanced multi-stage RAG architectures, implement full-stack services with Python, FastAPI, and React, and lead the operationalization of high-availability AI platforms across enterprise cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- GenAI & Agentic Systems Architecture: Architect and implement autonomous, tool-using, multi-agent frameworks with stateful loops and graph-based execution pipelines (e.g., LangGraph).
- Advanced RAG & Vector Search: Design and scale multi-hop retrieval, re-ranking pipelines, and hybrid search architectures across enterprise vector databases and embedding models.
- Full-Stack & Model Serving: Build scalable backend microservices and APIs using Python and FastAPI, integrate responsive frontends with React, and configure low-latency model-serving endpoints.
- AI Reliability & Observability: Deploy comprehensive telemetry, distributed tracing, circuit breakers, real-time monitoring dashboards, and alerting workflows to ensure resilience and strict SLO compliance.
- Evaluation & Responsible AI: Establish rigorous benchmarking, A/B testing, and cost/latency optimization suites while enforcing Responsible AI governance, fairness, and safety guardrails.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech) or equivalent technical degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 5 to 10 years of hands-on software and AI engineering experience, with demonstrated success in deploying Generative AI and distributed systems into production.
- Core Stack: Advanced proficiency in Python, FastAPI, React, LLM APIs, Vector Databases (e.g., Pinecone, Milvus, Qdrant, Chroma), Prompt Engineering frameworks, and Microsoft Azure.
- Nice to Have: Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), graph-based orchestration (LangGraph), GPU infrastructure provisioning, feature stores, and automated AI evaluation frameworks.
- Professional Competencies: Strong architectural systems thinking, cross-functional engineering leadership, and a disciplined approach to enterprise AI governance and security.
