Role Summary
Southwest Airlines is hiring a Sr Business Data Analyst - AI & Analytics for its Technology department in Hyderabad, Telangana. In this senior analytical role, you will lead discovery sessions and drive enterprise Analytics & AI initiatives. You will translate operational challenges into scalable data solutions, build executive Tableau dashboards, perform advanced SQL and Python data analysis, build Alteryx workflows, define organizational KPIs, and mentor data analysts within Agile delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Analytical Strategy & Roadmap Definition: Partner with business stakeholders and Product Owners to define analytics roadmaps, KPIs, reporting frameworks, and business metrics.
- Dashboard & Solution Development: Design, develop, and maintain executive Tableau dashboards, scorecards, and advanced SQL/Python data solutions.
- Process Automation & ETL: Leverage Alteryx workflows for data preparation, reporting process automation, and business intelligence modernization.
- Data Governance & Quality: Perform rigorous data validation, reconciliation, semantic layer definition, and quality assurance across complex enterprise datasets.
- Stakeholder Management & Mentorship: Present analytical findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership, while mentoring junior Business Data Analysts.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Science, or equivalent field.
- Experience: 5–7+ years of relevant experience in business analytics, BI platforms, Python automation, and stakeholder management within Agile environments.
- Mandatory Technical Stack: Advanced hands-on proficiency in Python, SQL, Tableau, and Alteryx.
- Preferred Technical Exposure: Awareness of GenAI, GenBI, modern cloud analytics platforms, and Finance domain analytics.
