Role Overview:
Société Générale is seeking a process-oriented Software Engineer - .NET Fullstack to join the IT engineering division in Bangalore. The candidate will focus on delivering high-quality software products within an Agile development environment, handling end-to-end design, implementation, and testing of complex enterprise requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand functional requirements and proactively clarify gaps with Business Analysts and key stakeholders.
- Provide high-level effort estimations and detailed independent estimates from functional specifications.
- Architect low-level and high-level technical designs and implement solutions for complex requirements.
- Follow established Agile practices including daily scrum, iteration planning, retrospectives, and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Meticulously review software designs, test cases, and source code for quality assurance.
- Execute end-to-end Coding, Unit Testing (NUnit/MbUnit), and Integration Testing.
Key Skill & Profile Requirements:
- Core Experience: 3 to 6 years of hands-on software development experience with C#, WCF, and WPF.
- Frameworks & Programming: Strong fundamentals in Core .NET (v3.5+), Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), multi-threading, and threading concepts.
- Database Competency: Working knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, or Sybase) using SQL/T-SQL/PL SQL; query optimization experience is a big plus.
- Design & Testing: Solid experience in high-level/low-level system design using UML & Design Patterns, paired with automated unit testing via NUnit or MbUnit.
- Desirable Experience: Prior exposure to Thunderhead, Silverlight, Reactive Extensions (Rx) framework, or Investment Banking domain experience is highly desirable.
