Role Summary
Société Générale is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Analyst - Corporate & Investment Banking (Loan IQ / Syndicated Loans) to join our global banking operations team in Bengaluru in a hybrid work model. In this role, you will manage operational workflows across syndicated and bilateral loan facilities using Finastra Loan IQ. You will review and reconcile credit agreements, administer interest and fee billings, validate participant drawdowns and rollovers, handle SWIFT payment releases, and enforce operational risk and regulatory compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Loan IQ Facility Administration: Process, validate, and manage deals, credit facilities, and outstanding commitments in Loan IQ, ensuring alignment with executed credit agreements.
- Lifecycle Servicing Operations: Administer loan participation events, including new borrowings, commitment reductions, fee billings, loan rollovers, pay-downs, and rate re-fixations.
- Cash Matching & Payments: Execute daily proceeds transfers, match incoming funds, initiate and verify SWIFT payment instructions, and prepare manual General Ledger (G/L) postings.
- Reconciliations & Reporting: Monitor daily facility activity reports, reconcile discrepancies in interest and principal payments, track past-due balances, and review expiring Standby Letters of Credit (SBLC).
- Risk, Controls & KRI Management: Anticipate operational risk indicators, maintain up-to-date SOP documentation, track KRI/KPI metrics, and drive root-cause fixes for operational breaks.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Banking, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 2 to 6 years of core operational experience in Corporate and Investment Banking loan servicing or syndicated loan operations.
- Core Stack: Hands-on proficiency in Finastra Loan IQ, syndicated credit documentation, SWIFT message formatting, and financial transaction reconciliation.
- Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of the end-to-end loan lifecycle, bilateral financing structures, Basel regulatory frameworks, and operational risk controls.
- Professional Competencies: Exceptional numerical accuracy, strong stakeholder management skills, and clear business communication.
