Finance Trainee (Customer & Vendor Master Data / AR & AP)

Role Summary

Siemens Technology and Services Private Limited is hiring an early-career professional for the role of Finance Trainee within our Global Business Services (GBS) division in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. In this full-time, onsite position, you will work within a highly digitized and automated financial operations environment. You will be responsible for end-to-end customer and vendor master data maintenance, handling modifications for third-party and inter-company entities, resolving discrepancies, and supporting Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Master Data Administration: Perform daily creation, maintenance, and modification of Customer and Vendor master records for third-party and intra-company business units across enterprise ERP systems.
• Discrepancy Resolution: Liaise directly with internal business units and external requestors to clarify operational queries, resolve data mismatches, and process urgent or emergency requests.
• Accounting & Controls: Support Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) cycles while ensuring strict adherence to internal accounting policies, compliance guidelines, and audit controls.
• Cross-Department Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional internal departments to streamline end-to-end purchasing, payment processing, cash allocation, and accounts reconciliation workflows.
• Process Excellence: Utilize advanced Excel to track records, ensure high accuracy in data entry, and participate in continuous process optimization and digitalization initiatives.

Key Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Business Administration (BBA), or a related finance/accounting stream.
• Experience: 0 to 1 year of experience (Early Professional / Fresher) in finance operations, master data management, or accounting support.
• Core Technical Skills: Master Data Management (MDM), Accounts Payable/Receivable fundamentals, ERP navigation, and Advanced Microsoft Excel (data sorting, VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
• Operational Attributes: Strong analytical problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, proactive mindset, and flexibility to work early morning or night shifts.
• Preferred Capabilities: Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise ERP platforms and an understanding of corporate quality control methodologies.
