Role Summary
Setoo is seeking an enthusiastic, driven AI/ML Intern to join our engineering team in Pune, Maharashtra, India. In this full-time, in-office internship, you will work on real-world artificial intelligence and machine learning applications, gaining hands-on exposure to production-level intelligent systems. You will build and integrate Large Language Model (LLM) applications, implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, construct REST APIs for AI services using modern Python frameworks (FastAPI or Django), manage vector search databases, and collaborate on scalable system designs with opportunities for full-time conversion based on performance.
Key Responsibilities
- AI Application Development: Build and integrate LLM-based solutions and experiment with transformer-based models using modern orchestration frameworks like LangChain and LangGraph.
- RAG & Vector Search: Implement, optimize, and evaluate Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures leveraging vector databases such as FAISS, Pinecone, or Chroma.
- Backend & API Engineering: Develop and integrate clean, modular REST APIs for AI microservices using Python frameworks such as FastAPI or Django.
- Data Handling: Work with both structured and unstructured datasets, implementing and tuning text embeddings and vector similarity search.
- Database Management: Interface with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases to support backend data flows.
- System Design & Prototyping: Write maintainable, object-oriented code, collaborate on web architecture, and optionally build lightweight user interfaces (such as chat tools or dashboards) for AI applications.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Recent graduate with a B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science/IT, MCA, M.Sc. in Computer Science/IT, or a related degree.
- Experience: 0 to 0 years (Entry-level / Fresher with hands-on academic or personal AI/ML project experience).
- Core Technical Skills: Strong Python programming fundamentals, understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and familiarity with REST APIs.
- AI/ML Foundations: Conceptual knowledge of embeddings, transformer models, RAG pipelines, and vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, or Chroma).
- Preferred Capabilities: Familiarity with LangChain/LangGraph, OpenAI/open-source LLMs, JavaScript/TypeScript, React.js, Docker containerization, cloud deployment (AWS/GCP/Azure), and an active GitHub portfolio.
