Role Summary
ServiceNow is looking for a Sr Software Engineer Fullstack - Kubernetes to join our Infrastructure and Operations engineering team in Hyderabad under a flexible work model. You will build and scale high-throughput, distributed systems end to end—from building sleek web interfaces to engineering robust backend microservices, operating Kubernetes clusters in production, and embedding autonomous AI agents and LLM-driven workflows into core enterprise platform services.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Stack Engineering: Develop responsive user interfaces with React or Angular and construct high-performance backend microservices using Java and Python.
- Distributed Systems & Streaming: Architect and manage fault-tolerant, high-throughput ingestion and streaming data pipelines using Apache Kafka and ClickHouse.
- Container & Platform Operations: Deploy, scale, monitor, and troubleshoot production workloads on Kubernetes and Docker.
- AI & Agentic Workflows: Design and integrate LLMs, retrieval-augmented mechanisms, and autonomous agent frameworks to automate complex enterprise platform tasks.
- Production Excellence: Drive system reliability, comprehensive telemetry, distributed tracing, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: 6+ years of hands-on software development experience building and operating full-stack, distributed systems in production.
- Core Stack: Strong proficiency in Java, Python, Kubernetes, Docker, React or Angular, TypeScript, and Apache Kafka.
- Nice to Have: Hands-on exposure to ClickHouse, building LLM-based agentic workflows, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and cloud-native observability tooling.
- Professional Competencies: High ownership, disciplined code review standards, cross-functional collaboration with product and design leads, and an automation-first mindset.
