Role Summary
SAP Labs is hiring a Full Stack Java AI Developer for its SAP BTP Integration Suite engineering team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will build enterprise-grade, cloud-native applications on SAP BTP Cloud Foundry that integrate Large Language Models (LLMs), RAG pipelines, and autonomous AI agent workflows to transform manual operations into intelligent cloud operations. You will develop backend microservices with Java/Spring Boot/Spring AI, handle vector databases, and build modern UI interfaces.
Key Responsibilities
- AI-Driven Cloud Operations: Architect and build enterprise microservices using LLMs, function calling, RAG pipelines, and AI agent frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen) for automated cloud operations.
- Backend & Microservices Engineering: Design, deploy, and operate Java-based microservices on SAP BTP Cloud Foundry using Spring Boot, Spring AI, Hibernate, and PostgreSQL.
- Full Stack & UI Development: Construct responsive user interfaces using SAP UI5, React, Angular, or Vue.js with TypeScript, integrating APIs with cloud platform services.
- End-to-End Delivery: Own the complete software lifecycle across architecture, testing, continuous deployment (CI/CD), observability, and incident resolution within a Scrum team.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience: 4 to 8 years of hands-on software engineering experience with strong Java backend, full-stack, and AI/Data Science foundations.
- Mandatory Technical Stack: Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring AI, REST microservices, LLM integration, prompt engineering, RAG architectures, vector databases (pgvector/Pinecone), AI agent frameworks, and PostgreSQL.
- Preferred Technical Exposure: Modern frontend frameworks (SAP UI5, React, Angular, TypeScript), cloud substrates (AWS, Azure, AliCloud), Apache Kafka, and responsible AI guardrail practices.
