Role Summary
SAP is hiring an IT Technology Services Specialist - Automation Reliability Engineer for its Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) Delivery organization in Bengaluru. Operating under a hybrid work model, you will drive an automation-first strategy across cloud operations to streamline workflows, eliminate manual toil, and maximize system availability. You will design and deploy intelligent automation pipelines, integrate AI/ML and LLM capabilities into operational services, and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure stable, scalable, and resilient enterprise cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Intelligent Automation: Identify operational manual bottlenecks and build end-to-end scalable automation frameworks using Python, Shell scripting, and Ansible.
- AI/ML & Operations Integration: Integrate predictive AI/ML models and LLM-powered capabilities (SAP AI Core, OpenAI structured outputs, prompt engineering) into operational workflows and backend systems.
- System Reliability & Optimization: Analyze system performance metrics, detect operational anomalies, and engineer proactive solutions to prevent service degradation and maintain high availability.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with enterprise stakeholders and engineering teams in an Agile DevOps environment, translating business operational needs into robust, automated technical solutions.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 4+ years of professional experience focused on automation, scripting, and reliability engineering in enterprise environments.
- Mandatory Technical Stack: Strong background in Python, Shell scripting, Ansible, cloud technologies (microservices, containerization, serverless), DevOps toolsets, and Agile delivery.
- Preferred Technical Exposure: Hands-on experience with SAP AI Core, LLM prompting, relational/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB), and modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue).
- Core Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving in ambiguous technical scenarios, exceptional stakeholder management, and clear technical communication.
