Role Summary
Sandvik is seeking an Analytics Developer to join our IT and Software Development team in Pune, Maharashtra, India. In this full-time role, you will help shape the future of digital manufacturing and enterprise analytics by designing scalable data models and reusable analytics assets across operational, commercial, financial, and supply chain domains. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and data engineering teams to build trusted data products and drive data governance best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Modeling & Architecture: Design and maintain logical, dimensional, and semantic data models using star schema frameworks, fact/dimension tables, and reusable KPI calculations.
- Solution Design: Translate complex cross-domain business requirements into scalable analytical solutions, datasets, and enterprise reporting assets.
- Dashboard & Report Delivery: Develop and maintain datasets, dashboards, and semantic layers for consumption across diverse business intelligence platforms.
- Data Governance & Quality: Partner with data engineering teams to align data structures, define business metadata, and ensure high standards of data quality and governance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with global stakeholders across manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and operations to drive the adoption of analytics best practices in an Agile delivery environment.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of overall experience in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing, with at least 3 years specialized in data modeling and designing analytical solutions.
- Core Technical Skills: Advanced SQL, Dimensional Modeling (Star Schema), Semantic Layer Design, Data Warehousing, and KPI Architecture.
- Key Methodologies: Agile Software Delivery, Business Requirement Translation, Data Governance, and Enterprise Metadata Management.
- Preferred Capabilities: Exposure to Power BI, SAP Datasphere, Fabric, Databricks, and domain understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, or operational analytics.
