Role Summary
Salesforce is hiring a Software Engineering SMTS (Senior Member of Technical Staff) for its Einstein AI platform team across Bengaluru and Hyderabad. In this role, you will design, build, and deploy scalable Generative AI microservices across multi-tenant production systems. You will drive system automation, handle capacity planning, conduct root-cause analysis, participate in on-call rotations, and build large-scale Machine Learning platform services covering training, scoring, orchestration, and model management.
Key Responsibilities
- Generative AI Platform Engineering: Architect and deploy scalable Generative AI and Machine Learning services integrated across multi-tenant applications operating on public cloud substrates (AWS/GCP).
- System Automation & Infrastructure: Optimize system performance, manage capacity planning, automate configurations, execute root cause analysis, and monitor distributed infrastructure health.
- ML Lifecycle & APIs: Build unified, configuration-driven APIs and microservices for the entire ML lifecycle—including data processing, model training, experimentation, prediction scoring, and model storage.
- Cross-Functional Innovation: Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Application Architects, Data Scientists, and Deep Learning Researchers to bring prototype AI solutions into high-scale production.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of dedicated industry experience in ML engineering, building scalable AI systems and distributed services.
- Mandatory Technical Stack: Deep hands-on experience in building distributed microservices on AWS/GCP, container orchestration via Kubernetes and Spinnaker, and modern data processing frameworks (Kafka, Spark, Docker, Hadoop).
- Preferred Technical Exposure: Working knowledge of MLOps/ML infrastructure, SageMaker, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Triton Inference Server, and automated model orchestration workflows.
