Role Summary
Reliance Jio seeking a proactive, analytical Software Development Engineer I to join our IT & Systems team in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining core software applications to deliver scalable enterprise solutions. You will write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, conduct comprehensive debugging, perform code reviews, and collaborate across engineering squads to translate technical specifications into high-quality software features.
Key Responsibilities
- Application Development & Coding: Write clean, robust, and well-documented code to develop, enhance, and maintain software applications aligned with business requirements.
- Software Testing & Debugging: Execute unit testing, identify defects, and troubleshoot system issues to ensure high reliability and seamless runtime performance.
- Feature Design & Collaboration: Partner closely with cross-functional team members to design, architect, and implement new application features.
- Code Quality & Reviews: Participate in peer code reviews to enforce software engineering standards, modular reusability, and continuous quality improvements.
- Documentation & Version Control: Assist in developing detailed technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and user manuals while managing codebases using Git.
- Industry Adaptability: Stay abreast of emerging programming languages, frameworks, and modern software development best practices.
Key Qualifications
- Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering (preferable), or a related technical discipline.
- Experience: 0 to 3 years of software development experience (freshers with strong programming fundamentals and project work are welcome to apply).
- Core Technical Competencies: Solid understanding of the complete Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), version control systems (Git), and relational databases with SQL query fundamentals.
- Testing & Diagnostics: Working familiarity with software testing methodologies, structured debugging techniques, and defect isolation.
- Preferred Capabilities: Foundational knowledge of front-end web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and modern web service architectures.
