Engineer, Associate

Role Summary

Qualcomm India Private Limited is hiring an Engineer, Associate for its engineering group in Hyderabad, Telangana. In this early-career software engineering role, you will design, develop, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software solutions, applications, and utility programs. Working under team supervision, you will implement software features, execute unit testing, conduct minor debugging and regression testing, and collaborate with cross-functional architecture and system teams to deliver world-class connected products.

Key Responsibilities

• Software Feature Development: Implement, write, and modify clean software code for small features across embedded systems, cloud edge platforms, and utility applications.
• Testing & Bug Resolution: Conduct unit testing, execute regression test suites, perform minor debugging fixes, and assist in issue triaging to ensure high code quality.
• Code Reviews & Quality Assurance: Participate in peer code reviews and adhere to software development guidelines and secure coding practices.
• Project Collaboration: Collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, and test engineering teams to accomplish milestone objectives on schedule.
• Technical Documentation: Write clear, maintainable technical documentation for assigned software features, APIs, and project modules.

Key Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience: 0 to 2 years of software engineering experience (freshers and early-career developers eligible).
• Programming Proficiency: Hands-on experience or familiarity with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
• Core Technical Concepts: Foundational knowledge of database management, REST APIs, and source code management systems (Git or Perforce).
• Soft Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills with strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
