Role Summary
Philips is hiring a Software Technologist I for its health technology engineering division in Bengaluru. Operating under an in-person office policy (at least 3 days per week), you will design, develop, and maintain clinical software applications using C# .NET and Angular. You will integrate medical imaging protocols (DICOM), participate in architectural design discussions, troubleshoot complex issues, and mentor junior engineers within an Agile development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Full Stack Clinical Engineering: Build, enhance, and maintain scalable web applications using C# .NET and Angular while maintaining OOP design principles.
- Medical Imaging Integration: Work with DICOM medical protocols to ensure interoperability and regulatory compliance for healthcare diagnostic software.
- Architectural Input & Quality Control: Participate in software architecture discussions, execute peer code reviews, and optimize database management routines using SQL.
- Mentorship & Troubleshooting: Guide junior team members, troubleshoot complex application bugs, and collaborate with product owners to deliver high-quality clinical features.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience: 4 to 7 years of professional software development experience using C# .NET and Angular.
- Mandatory Technical Stack: Deep proficiency in C# .NET, Angular, SQL database management, OOP design patterns, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and basic knowledge of DICOM.
- Preferred Technical Exposure: AWS cloud services, DevOps/CI/CD pipelines, React.js, and domain experience in healthcare or medical imaging.
- Core Soft Skills: Strong technical problem-solving skills, mentoring capability, and clear written and verbal communication.
