Role Summary
Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Senior IT Software Engineer to join our IT engineering team in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. In this full-time role, you will help shape the future of cybersecurity by designing, building, and deploying autonomous AI agentic solutions, scalable microservices, and high-performance backend platforms. You will work across Java, Spring Boot, Python, GCP, and advanced LLM architectures to automate complex security operations.
Key Responsibilities
- AI Solution Engineering: Design and orchestrate autonomous AI agentic workflows (A2A) leveraging LLM reasoning, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and prompt engineering.
- Microservices Development: Build scalable, high-performance RESTful microservices using Java with Spring Boot and Python.
- Database Management: Schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning across NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) and SQL (MySQL, MSSQL) databases.
- Cloud Operations: Deploy, manage, and scale enterprise applications using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
- CI/CD & Collaboration: Implement and maintain automated deployment pipelines using Harness or Jenkins while collaborating across cross-functional engineering teams.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 5+ years of software development experience, including at least 2+ years of hands-on experience building autonomous AI agentic solutions.
- Core Technical Skills: Java, Spring Boot, Python, RESTful Microservices, SQL (MySQL/MSSQL), NoSQL (MongoDB/Cassandra), and Agentic AI Architecture (RAG, LLMs).
- Key Methodologies: Retrieval-Augmented Generation, Agent-to-Agent Workflows, Microservices Architecture, and Database Performance Tuning.
- Preferred Capabilities: Hands-on experience with GCP, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Harness/Jenkins CI/CD, and domain knowledge in cybersecurity.
