Role Summary
Optum (UnitedHealth Group) is hiring a Senior Software Engineer I - HTMX, Golang, React in Bengaluru, Karnataka. In this full-stack engineering role, you will design and develop modern web applications, microservices, and RESTful APIs using React, HTMX, Golang, and .NET/C#. You will containerize applications with Docker, orchestrate services using Kubernetes, design robust database models, and integrate AI-assisted development tools (such as GitHub Copilot, OpenAI, Codex, or Claude) into core engineering workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Stack & API Development: Architect, build, and maintain scalable web applications and high-performance RESTful APIs using React, HTMX, JavaScript, Golang, and .NET/C#.
- Containerization & Orchestration: Package, deploy, and manage microservices environments using Docker and Kubernetes infrastructure.
- Database & Architecture Design: Design and optimize robust application architectures and database schemas to ensure high availability, security, and scalability.
- AI Workflows & Innovation: Integrate AI-assisted tools and LLM capabilities (e.g., GitHub Copilot, OpenAI APIs) to accelerate development workflows, code generation, and automation.
- System Evaluation & Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional product and engineering teams to evaluate new web frameworks and translate business specifications into technical designs.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent technical field.
- Experience: 3+ years of full-stack engineering experience with hands-on proficiency in React, HTMX, JavaScript, Golang, REST APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, and .NET/C#.
- AI Tooling Experience: 1+ years of experience utilizing OpenAI technologies or AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Codex, Claude) in production software engineering.
- Preferred Technical Exposure: Experience building enterprise-scale cloud microservices and handling ETL/data integration pipelines.
