In this systems-level engineering role, you will design, develop, and optimize scalable client agent software and system components that power the Omnissa autonomous digital workspace platform. You will focus on low-level OS internals, multi-threading, concurrency, network protocols, kernel/user-mode debugging, and performance profiling for enterprise endpoints globally.
Core Responsibilities
- System Software Architecture: Design and develop scalable, robust solutions involving Windows internals and low-level system components for the DEEM client agent.
- Feature Lifecycle Ownership: Drive end-to-end software development from technical design and implementation to automated testing, deployment, and ongoing optimization.
- Concurrency & Networking: Implement high-performance multi-threaded architectures, inter-process communication (IPC), and secure network communications utilizing TLS/OpenSSL and HTTP client/server protocols.
- Diagnostics & Debugging: Perform advanced troubleshooting and performance diagnostics utilizing WinDbg and native Windows performance profiling tools.
- Quality Assurance: Author automated unit and integration tests using frameworks such as gTest and gMock, participate in design/code reviews, and lead root cause analysis (RCCAs / 5-Whys).
- Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Guide junior engineers, help shape engineering direction, and participate in an on-call rotation to address critical customer escalations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Professional Experience: 5+ years of dedicated professional software engineering experience with strong proficiency in C++.
- Operating Systems Internals: Deep, practical experience with Windows internals, system-level components, and Windows Server environments.
- Systems Programming Fundamentals: Thorough understanding of multi-threading, synchronization primitives, concurrency models, and inter-process communication (IPC).
- Network Protocols & Security: Hands-on experience developing network applications with TLS/OpenSSL and HTTP client/server frameworks.
- Debugging & Profiling: Advanced expertise debugging crashes, deadlocks, and memory issues using WinDbg and Windows performance diagnostic tools.
- Testing Frameworks: Working knowledge of unit testing frameworks such as gTest and gMock.
- Preferred Qualifications: Additional exposure to Linux and macOS operating systems, or background in endpoint management (UEM) and observability agents.
