Role Summary
NXP Semiconductors is offering a high-impact Technical Internship 2027 for engineering students in Bengaluru and Noida. In this role, you will join our core hardware engineering teams to develop state-of-the-art System-on-Chip (SoC) solutions tailored for automotive, smart connectivity, voice/object recognition, touch sensing, and IoT security applications. Working directly alongside experienced silicon design engineers, you will gain hands-on ownership across digital design, mixed-signal IP verification, and physical design flows.
Key Responsibilities
- SoC Design & Modeling: Assist senior hardware engineers in designing next-generation digital and mixed-signal IPs for targeted automotive and IoT platforms.
- Verification & Simulation: Build and execute verification testbenches to validate functional performance, timing constraints, and mixed-signal behavior using HDL tools.
- Physical Implementation Support: Support end-to-end SoC design workflows, including synthesis checks, floorplanning, placement, routing, and physical verification.
- Documentation & Analysis: Document technical IP specifications, summarize test and simulation results, and present design reviews to cross-functional engineering teams.
Key Qualifications
- Target Graduation Year: Batch of 2027 (or 2026/2027 pursuing undergraduate/postgraduate degrees).
- Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, VLSI, or a related field.
- Core Stack: Strong foundation in digital electronics, computer architecture, Verilog/SystemVerilog, semiconductor physics, and circuit analysis.
- Nice to Have: Academic or personal project exposure to EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens EDA), UVM methodology, FPGA prototyping, or scripting languages (Python/Tcl).
- Professional Competencies: Eager learning mindset, sharp analytical thinking, attention to silicon-level detail, and collaborative teamwork.
