Role Summary
NTT DATA Services is looking for an experienced Backend Developer (Java Spring Boot Microservices) to join our digital engineering team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will design, build, and deploy resilient, cloud-native microservices using modern Java and Spring Boot. You will manage containerized deployments via Kubernetes and Docker, implement robust API security with OAuth2/JWT, integrate enterprise platforms like Oracle MDM using event messaging architectures (Apache Kafka/RabbitMQ), and optimize complex database operations to ensure peak application reliability and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Microservices Engineering: Architect, implement, and maintain high-throughput RESTful microservices and backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Container & Platform Management: Package, orchestrate, and manage containerized services using Docker and Kubernetes across hybrid cloud and on-premise environments.
- Enterprise Integration & Messaging: Build asynchronous integrations connecting enterprise systems (such as Oracle MDM) with external platforms using REST APIs, middleware, and message queues (Kafka / RabbitMQ).
- Data Layer & ETL Support: Design and tune relational database schemas, write optimized SQL and PL/SQL queries, and collaborate on ETL pipelines using Informatica PowerCenter.
- Security, Monitoring & CI/CD: Enforce enterprise API security (OAuth2, JWT), integrate caching mechanisms, configure monitoring dashboards (Grafana/OpenSearch), and automate build pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 4 to 8 years of solid hands-on experience in backend software engineering with a focus on Java microservices architectures.
- Core Stack: Advanced proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, RESTful APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, SQL/PL-SQL database tuning, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Nice to Have: Experience with event-driven messaging (Kafka/RabbitMQ), Informatica PowerCenter ETL, Oracle MDM integrations, Automic job scheduling, Ansible, and OpenSearch/Grafana telemetry.
- Professional Competencies: Disciplined code review standards, strong analytical problem-solving, and effective cross-functional collaboration in Agile delivery teams.
