Role Summary
NewStreet is hiring Associate Software Engineers for a permanent early-career engineering role in Bengaluru. Selected candidates will work alongside senior engineers, contribute to production features, own software modules, write tests, and rotate across product engineering, dashboards, and client delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Development: Build real product features under the guidance and review of senior engineers.
- Module Ownership: Take ownership of a named software component and contribute to its development and maintenance.
- Testing: Write tests for developed features as part of the regular software development process.
- Engineering Rotation: Work across product engineering, dashboards, and client delivery during the first year.
- Production Support: Support the modules and features developed by you and troubleshoot issues when required.
- Code Review: Participate in detailed code reviews and incorporate feedback from senior engineers.
Key Qualifications
- Education: B.E., B.Tech, or MCA with recent graduation.
- Experience: Freshers or candidates with 0–1 year of experience.
- Python: Working knowledge of Python with the ability to independently build a small application end to end.
- Programming Fundamentals: Understanding of data structures, algorithms, complexity, and software development approaches.
- Databases: Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Version Control: Practical working knowledge of Git.
- Projects: Ability to explain a self-developed technical project and the engineering decisions made during development.
