Role Summary
NetApp is seeking a Technical Support Engineer 2 to provide post-sales technical support for enterprise storage and cloud solutions, including AFF, FAS, and Cloud Volumes ONTAP. The role involves troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues, analyzing logs, identifying root causes, and delivering effective technical solutions to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Provide post-sales technical support for NetApp storage and cloud solutions.
- Issue Troubleshooting: Investigate complex hardware, software, storage, and cloud infrastructure issues.
- Root Cause Analysis: Analyze system logs, identify underlying causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Storage Administration: Support NetApp storage technologies, including AFF, FAS, and Cloud Volumes ONTAP.
- Infrastructure Support: Troubleshoot issues involving operating systems, virtualization platforms, and enterprise infrastructure.
- Data Protection: Assist with storage backup, data protection, and recovery-related issues.
- Performance Optimization: Investigate storage performance problems and high-availability concerns.
- Cloud Support: Support infrastructure involving AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Kubernetes.
- Customer Collaboration: Communicate technical findings and solutions clearly to customers.
- Cross-Team Coordination: Collaborate with internal technical teams to resolve complex issues and improve customer outcomes.
Key Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in technical support, storage administration, or infrastructure support.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience in at least two relevant technical areas, including NetApp storage, NAS/SAN, operating system administration, backup technologies, virtualization, cloud platforms, Kubernetes, or storage performance.
- Knowledge of NetApp storage solutions and Data ONTAP is relevant to the role.
- Experience with Linux/UNIX or Windows administration.
- Knowledge of VMware, Hyper-V, or Citrix virtualization platforms is beneficial.
- Understanding of AWS, Azure, GCP, and Kubernetes is advantageous.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Relevant certifications in storage, cloud, or infrastructure technologies are preferred.
