Role Summary
NetApp is hiring a Software Engineer (Full Stack Developer) for its Chief Platform and Technology Office (CPTO) team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will work on incubation projects that shape NetApp's core technology strategy. You will design and implement large-scale, fault-tolerant, low-latency distributed systems using Go, Python, React, and containerization platforms (Docker/Kubernetes), leveraging OS internals, multithreaded programming, and AI-assisted development tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Full Stack & Systems Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable full-stack applications and low-level system software using Go, Python, and React.
- Distributed Systems Architecture: Architect and build fault-tolerant, low-latency distributed systems optimized for modern AI workloads, cloud platforms, and enterprise storage.
- Incubation & Proof of Concepts: Participate in proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives and incubation pipeline projects that establish technical roadmaps under the guidance of Principal Engineers.
- DevOps & Quality Engineering: Execute sound software engineering practices using Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus, and Agile/Scrum methodologies across the full product lifecycle.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
- Experience: 5 to 8 years of hands-on software engineering experience across full-stack and systems programming domains.
- Mandatory Technical Stack: Deep proficiency in Go, Python, React, Unix/Linux system programming, multithreading, algorithms, storage/cloud domains, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Preferred Technical Exposure: Working knowledge of NoSQL databases, Prometheus monitoring, Data Lake architectures, and AI-powered coding tools.
- Core Competencies: Excellent verbal and written English communication, problem-solving agility, and strong collaborative engineering skills.
