Role Overview
NetApp is seeking an Enterprise App Programmer to join its Platform Technology Solutioning team in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India (Hybrid). Operating as a key platform engineer within enterprise data and analytics infrastructure, you will work across Snowflake platform administration, DataOps, and integration pipeline operations. You will manage data environments, maintain Change Data Capture (CDC) and ELT pipelines, implement role-based data security and governance policies, monitor cloud utilization costs, and partner with enterprise architects to support mission-critical analytics workflows.
Core Responsibilities
- Snowflake Platform Administration: Provision and configure Snowflake environments, virtual warehouses, and access structures; manage external integrations across Azure, OAuth setups, and Snowflake data sharing.
- Integration Layer Management: Oversee Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), secure agent infrastructure, project onboarding, and version release impact assessments.
- Data Pipeline Support: Maintain and upgrade Oracle GoldenGate Change Data Capture (CDC) and near-real-time (NRT) batch ELT pipelines connecting ERP, SAP, and EDH systems.
- Governance, Security & Compliance: Implement and audit access control frameworks including RBAC, Row-Level Security (RLS), dynamic data masking, data classification tags, and credential rotations.
- FinOps & Resource Optimization: Monitor Snowflake usage, analyze compute and storage cost drivers, and apply optimization strategies to align with enterprise infrastructure budgets.
- Platform Migrations & Resilience: Execute cloud and server migrations (including Azure-to-AWS transitions), support runbook deployments, and ensure High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) compliance.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related technical discipline (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Professional Experience: 1 to 4 years of hands-on platform engineering, data operations, or database administration experience.
- Platform Expertise: Practical experience administering Snowflake and managing enterprise ETL/ELT tools like Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
- Data Ingestion & CDC: Working knowledge of continuous replication pipelines and CDC architectures using tools such as Oracle GoldenGate or HVR.
- Security & Access Controls: Understanding of enterprise security principles, including Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Row-Level Security (RLS), and API authentication.
- Cloud & FinOps Familiarity: Exposure to cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and data platform cost monitoring techniques.
