Software Engineer - Java Developer (Struts & EJB)

Role Summary

NeST Digital is seeking a Software Engineer - Java Developer (Struts & EJB) to join our BFSI business unit in Kochi, Kerala, India. In this full-time role, you will maintain, optimize, and enhance enterprise Java web applications utilizing Struts and EJB frameworks. You will also write complex SQL queries and design business reports using iReport and JasperReports to support banking and financial enterprise operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Application Development: Build and maintain enterprise Java web applications using the Struts and EJB frameworks.
• Report Design: Create, customize, and generate business-critical reports in PDF and Excel formats using iReport and JasperReports.
• Database Operations: Write and optimize SQL queries in MySQL to ensure seamless data flow and backend connectivity.
• Web Server Management: Deploy, configure, and manage application builds on the GlassFish web application server.
• System Maintenance: Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance legacy enterprise systems while maintaining high code quality and data accuracy.

Key Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience: 2 to 4 years of hands-on software development experience in Java EE environments.
• Core Technical Skills: Core Java, Java EE, Struts Framework, EJB, MySQL, iReport, JasperReports, and GlassFish server.
• Key Methodologies: Web Application Maintenance, Enterprise Reporting, SQL Optimization, and Software Debugging.
• Preferred Capabilities: Domain knowledge in Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) and mandatory fluency in the Malayalam language.
