Role Summary
MSD (Merck & Co., Inc.) is hiring a Quality Software Engineer for its IT Technology Center in Hyderabad. Operating under a hybrid work model (3 days office, 2 days remote), you will ensure the reliability and quality of ServiceNow IT risk and compliance applications. You will own end-to-end test planning, design and maintain automated test scripts using AutomatePro, execute functional and integration test suites, and drive continuous QA process improvements across Agile development sprints.
Key Responsibilities
- ServiceNow Testing & Quality Assurance: Design, execute, and maintain test cases covering functional, regression, and integration scenarios for ServiceNow core modules.
- Test Automation with AutomatePro: Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts using AutomatePro to increase test automation coverage across platform releases.
- Defect Tracking & Collaboration: Log, track, and verify software defects in Jira, working closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to prioritize resolutions.
- Process Improvement & Governance: Review and support junior QA team members, produce comprehensive execution logs and defect reports, and apply QA best practices within a matrix organization.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on software QA or application testing experience, ideally within ServiceNow environments.
- Mandatory Technical Stack: Deep proficiency in ServiceNow platform testing, AutomatePro test automation tool, defect tracking systems, and sprint-based Agile methodologies.
- Preferred Technical Exposure: Experience with ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management (IRM) modules, Jira project management, and testing in pharmaceutical or regulated environments.
- Core Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving abilities, independent task handling, and effective technical communication across cross-functional teams.
