Role Summary
Michael Page is recruiting a Senior Platform Developer (Backend) on behalf of a global media and software development organization. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain backend systems to power scalable, high-availability platforms. You will integrate backend services with frontend applications, optimize overall system performance, enforce secure coding standards, and participate in peer code reviews.
Key Responsibilities
- Backend Architecture & Development: Design, build, and maintain robust backend systems and services to support scalable platform infrastructure.
- Integration & Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional software teams to integrate backend services with frontend interfaces while ensuring system speed, reliability, and high availability.
- Code Quality & Security: Write clean, efficient, reusable code; perform mandatory code reviews; and apply secure coding practices to protect client data integrity.
- Troubleshooting & System Support: Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex backend-related bugs and system issues promptly.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience: Relevant senior-level software development experience in the technology/software industry (Media & Agency sector background preferred).
- Mandatory Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in backend programming languages, backend frameworks, database management systems, and system architecture fundamentals.
- Core Competencies: High attention to detail, strong analytical problem-solving skills, and a collaborative team mindset.
