Software Engineer / IT Professional

Role Summary

Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI) is hiring a Software Engineer for its R&D center at Brigade Tech Gardens, Bengaluru. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise digital solutions, cloud data pipelines, and connected vehicle applications powering next-generation automotive technologies. You will collaborate with global product owners, implement scalable microservice architectures, and drive engineering excellence within an Agile delivery framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Application Development: Build and maintain scalable backend services and frontend interfaces using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud microservices.
• Cloud & Containerization: Deploy and manage application components across cloud substrates using Docker and Kubernetes orchestration frameworks.
• System Integration & APIs: Design secure RESTful APIs, integrate multi-source datasets, and perform end-to-end software verification.
• Agile Collaboration: Participate in Scrum ceremonies, perform peer code reviews, and work alongside cross-functional engineering teams in Bengaluru and Germany.

Key Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, or a related discipline.
• Experience: 2 to 6 years of professional experience in software product development.
• Mandatory Technical Stack: Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, microservice design, RESTful APIs, SQL databases, Git, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Preferred Technical Exposure: Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS cloud platform, React.js, and automotive digital solutions.
• Core Soft Skills: Strong technical problem-solving capabilities, clear communication, and collaborative cross-cultural teamwork.
