Role Summary
London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is hiring a QA Automation Engineer to join its Commodities Analytics and Data Grabbers team in Bengaluru, Karnataka (RMZ Infinity). In this role, you will work within a 25-member engineering team responsible for real-time financial data contribution infrastructure (iSuite). You will design, build, execute, and maintain automated functional and non-functional test frameworks using Java and BDD methodologies to ensure high system reliability and data accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Automation & Framework Development: Design, write, and execute automated functional and non-functional test scripts using Java and BDD frameworks (Cucumber/Gherkin).
- CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites into continuous integration pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) to enable automated quality gates.
- Defect Management & Lifecycle Execution: Drive test planning, analysis, script maintenance, defect logging, and tracking using tools like Jira and TestRail.
- Backend & Log Validation: Conduct log-based testing, backend API validation, and data comparison to verify real-time financial data integrity.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify risks, document test coverage, participate in code/test reviews, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
Key Qualifications
- Education / Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience. ISTQB Foundation Certification is desirable.
- Core Technical Stack: Strong hands-on proficiency in Java programming, Git version control, and design patterns for test automation.
- Testing Frameworks: In-depth understanding of BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Gherkin) and integration testing methodologies.
- DevOps & Test Tools: Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) and test management software (Jira, TestRail).
- Nice to Have: Knowledge of Python programming, log-based debugging, financial market data systems, or commodities analytics platforms.
