Role Summary

Lenovo is hiring a Data Center System Administrator to deliver enterprise services supporting GPU-accelerated and high-performance computing (HPC) clusters on-site in Jamnagar, Gujarat (with support linked to Mumbai, Maharashtra). In this role, you will manage physical and system infrastructure operations—handling GPU and server hardware installation, break-fix maintenance, firmware upgrades, Linux operating systems support, and health monitoring to maximize cluster availability and system uptime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hardware Break-Fix & Installation: Perform hands-on installation, racking, configuration, diagnostics, and component replacement for enterprise servers, GPU accelerator boards, storage systems, and networking gear.
  • Linux OS & System Administration: Administer, configure, patch, and monitor Linux operating systems (primarily RHEL, alongside CentOS/SUSE), responding quickly to system alerts and failures.
  • Firmware & Best-Recipe Upgrades: Execute software releases, driver updates, and firmware patching aligned with Lenovo Scalable Infrastructure (LeSI) validated best-recipe baselines.
  • Incident & Vendor Management: Act as the technical point of contact for customer escalations, raise and track trouble tickets with OEM third-party vendors, coordinate maintenance windows, and ensure compliance with strict SLAs.

Key Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree, Diploma, or equivalent technical certification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3 to 7 years of hands-on data center infrastructure administration and hardware support experience.
  • Core Stack: Strong technical expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), enterprise server architecture, GPU accelerators, storage protocols, network connectivity troubleshooting, and physical break-fix procedures.
  • Nice to Have: Hands-on familiarity with Lenovo server platforms, Lenovo Scalable Infrastructure (LeSI), HPC environments, SUSE/CentOS, and enterprise ticketing workflows.
  • Professional Competencies: Root-cause analysis, disciplined operational documentation, clear stakeholder communication, and agility in 24x7 mission-critical data center operations.
