Role Summary
Kyndryl is hiring a Senior Java Developer for its modernization engineering teams in Bengaluru, Karnataka, and Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh (Partially Remote). In this technical leadership role, you will play a key part in Kyndryl’s mainframe modernization strategy by designing and building high-volume Spring Boot microservices, real-time Apache Kafka event-streaming pipelines, and Azure cloud integrations that bridge legacy core data with modern enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Microservices Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy resilient, fault-tolerant microservices using Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
- Real-Time Event Streaming: Build scalable event-driven architectures with Apache Kafka to consume, transform, enrich, and stream high-volume mainframe and cloud data.
- Change-Data Capture & Resilience: Implement change-detection logic, idempotent message handling, dead-letter topics (DLT), retry mechanisms, and stateful event processing.
- Data & Cloud Management: Optimize data persistence in MySQL and manage cloud deployments across Microsoft Azure PaaS environments.
- Leadership & Quality Engineering: Guide and mentor offshore development teams, author comprehensive unit/integration/performance tests, and collaborate with DevOps engineers to refine CI/CD automation pipelines.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent technical field.
- Experience: 6 to 10 years of professional software engineering experience with strong technical leadership abilities.
- Core Tech Stack: Expertise in Java 17+, Spring Boot framework, Apache Kafka streaming, relational databases (MySQL), and Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Software Engineering Practices: In-depth knowledge of microservice design patterns, asynchronous messaging, unit/integration testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Nice to Have: Hands-on experience with mainframe refactoring, Change Data Capture (CDC) mechanisms, and distributed systems performance tuning.
