Role Summary
Kyndryl is hiring an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer BST (Platform Engineering) to join our cloud operations and platform practice across Bengaluru and Greater Noida in a partially remote model. In this role, you will design, deploy, and govern enterprise-scale Azure Landing Zones aligned with Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF). You will build self-service platform capabilities, automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and Bicep/ARM, develop robust CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps with YAML, and embed policy-driven security, governance, and networking controls across mission-critical enterprise workloads.
Key Responsibilities
- Enterprise Landing Zones & Cloud Architecture: Design, implement, and govern enterprise-scale Azure Landing Zones, multi-subscription models, and core infrastructure following the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF).
- Infrastructure as Code & Automation: Author and maintain production-grade IaC modules using Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, and PowerShell to automate end-to-end cloud resource provisioning.
- CI/CD & Platform Modernization: Build and optimize multi-stage YAML pipelines in Azure DevOps, integrating automated testing, vulnerability scanning, and policy gates.
- Container & Platform Management: Manage and scale containerized clusters using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, and Azure SQL/Databricks services.
- Governance, Security & Self-Service: Enforce enterprise governance using Azure Policies and Entra ID (Azure AD) RBAC, building self-service platform products and APIs that streamline the developer experience for internal squads.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of dedicated hands-on experience in Azure cloud engineering, infrastructure automation, or platform engineering.
- Core Stack: Mastery of core Azure services (AKS, Azure VMs, VNet, Azure Monitor, IAM), Terraform, Azure Policy, YAML pipelines in Azure DevOps, and PowerShell.
- Nice to Have: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA/CKAD), HashiCorp Terraform Associate, or Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-400, AZ-204, AZ-305).
- Professional Competencies: Platform automation mindset, sharp troubleshooting skills in hybrid-cloud networking, and collaborative leadership in cross-functional engineering environments.
