Role Summary
Kimberly-Clark is hiring an Associate Trainee (Manufacturing & Production Operations) for its state-of-the-art facility at Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. In this hands-on operational role, you will execute high-speed manufacturing, packaging, and preventative maintenance for iconic personal care brands including Huggies®, Kotex®, and Kleenex®. You will maintain machine centerlines, enforce strict industrial safety and GMP standards, perform rapid quality checks, execute CLIT (Cleaning, Lubrication, Inspection, Tightening) routines, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the plant floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operations & Line Running: Prepare, load, route, and splice raw materials, running production lines at defined centerlines and GRS to achieve OEE, waste, volume, and quality targets.
- Preventative Maintenance & TPM: Perform continuous CLIT (Cleaning, Lubrication, Inspection, Tightening) routines, visual health checks (vibration, temperature, oiling), systematic spare replacements, and basic electrical/utility maintenance.
- Quality Assurance & GMP: Execute real-time variable and attribute quality testing on finished goods, enforce non-conforming product hold protocols, manage raw material traceability, and uphold strict plant hygiene and 5S standards.
- Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement: Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for micro-stoppages and machine breakdowns, applying Quick Changeover (QCO) lean principles to minimize downtime during product size and tier changes.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to site safety SOPs, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, work permits, and emergency response plans, conducting regular safety observations and hazard reporting.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Industrial Training Institute (ITI) diploma in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering (EE), Electrical & Electronics (EEE), or Electronics & Communication (E&C).
- Experience: 0 to 2 years of operational, shop-floor, or maintenance experience within high-speed consumer goods (FMCG), packaging, or continuous process manufacturing environments.
- Technical Skills: Practical knowledge of mechanical components, basic electrical systems (VFDs, motors, sensors), utility operations (compressors, chillers, AHUs), and shop-floor safety/LOTO procedures.
- Quality & Operational Mindset: Familiarity with GMP, QMS guidelines, quality logging software/MIS systems, and lean tools (5S, Kaizen, RCA).
- Physical & Workplace Requirements: Ability to work in shift rotations on-site at the Sri City plant, maintaining high energy, discipline, and commitment to workforce safety.
