Role Summary
JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer III - Full Stack (Python and React) to join the Asset and Wealth Management Technology team in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. In this full-time role, you will act as a seasoned engineering member of an agile squad designing and delivering scalable, secure, and market-leading financial technology products. You will leverage modern Python frameworks, React.js, AWS cloud infrastructure, and enterprise AI-assisted coding tools to optimize application performance and fulfill mission-critical business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Full Stack Engineering: Design, develop, and maintain robust backend microservices using Python alongside responsive, component-driven web interfaces using React.js and Redux.
- Cloud & Architecture: Deploy, manage, and scale cloud-native applications within Amazon Web Services (AWS) utilizing RESTful APIs and distributed microservices design.
- AI-Assisted Development: Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to accelerate code generation, automate unit test creation, and improve technical documentation while enforcing secure coding standards.
- Performance & Optimization: Benchmark application responsiveness, refactor complex code paths, and establish reusable component libraries for enterprise reuse.
- Agile Collaboration: Participate actively in peer code reviews, sprint ceremonies, and cross-functional requirement alignment with product managers, UX designers, and platform teams.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent formal software engineering training.
- Experience: 3+ years of applied software engineering experience in full-stack web and microservices development.
- Core Technical Skills: Python, React.js, Redux, RESTful APIs, AWS Cloud Services, Microservices Architecture, and Git.
- Key Methodologies: Responsible AI-Assisted Engineering, Agile/Scrum Delivery, Benchmarking & Application Profiling, and Secure SDLC Practices.
- Preferred Capabilities: Familiarity with backend frameworks such as Flask or Django, automated test suites, and exposure to Asset & Wealth Management or enterprise financial platforms.
