Role Summary
JPMorgan Chase & Co. is hiring a Software Engineer II - Python & AWS within the Employee Platforms team in Hyderabad, Telangana. In this SRE role, you will write robust Python code, manage AWS cloud infrastructure, eliminate system toil through automation, and implement observability/telemetry frameworks to ensure optimal availability and reliability across large-scale financial application platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- SRE & Automation Engineering: Write maintainable, production-ready Python code to solve business problems, optimize application performance, and automate manual operational toil.
- AWS Cloud & System Infrastructure: Maintain AWS cloud-based infrastructure, support containerized environments, and manage underlying Linux/Windows server operating systems.
- Observability & Telemetry: Implement service level indicators (SLIs), service level objectives (SLOs), alerting solutions, and telemetry collection using tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, Datadog, Prometheus, or Splunk.
- Incident Triage & Chaos Engineering: Diagnose and resolve production incidents at their root cause, participate in post-mortems, and leverage chaos engineering tools (Gremlin/FIS) to improve system resiliency.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
- Experience: 5+ years of software development or site reliability engineering experience.
- Mandatory Technical Stack: Python programming, AWS Cloud Infrastructure, Site Reliability Engineering principles, Observability tools (Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk), Linux/Windows OS, and Container technologies.
- Preferred Technical Exposure: CI/CD & IaC tools (Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab), Chaos Engineering, networking fundamentals, and exposure to financial services domain infrastructure.
