Site Reliability Engineer II - Java/Python, Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform

Role Summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer II - Java/Python, Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform within the Commercial & Investment Bank team at Platina in Bengaluru. In this SRE role, you will write high-quality Java or Python code, manage containerized platforms on Kubernetes and AWS, and utilize Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to automate operational workflows. You will implement observability patterns, eliminate system toil, drive incident triage, and leverage enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate post-incident root cause analysis and elevate overall system resiliency.

Key Responsibilities

• SRE & Toil Elimination: Write clean, maintainable code in Java or Python to solve complex business problems, eliminate manual operational toil, and build automated remediation frameworks.
• Cloud & Container Infrastructure: Administer and scale cloud-native infrastructure using AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform across microservices and enterprise application architectures.
• Observability & Telemetry: Design and improve Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and alerting dashboards using tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk, and AppDynamics.
• Incident Response & AI-Assisted Workflows: Lead incident triage, root cause analysis (RCA), and operational post-mortems while utilizing enterprise AI tools to accelerate troubleshooting and reliability risk detection.

Key Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience: 2+ years of applied experience in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps/Software Engineering.
• Mandatory Technical Stack: Java or Python, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, Docker, CI/CD tools (Jenkins/GitLab), and Observability platforms (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk).
• Preferred Technical Exposure: Agentic AI operational tools, Splunk Administrator certification, network troubleshooting, and automated continuous delivery pipelines.
