Infrastructure Engineer III - Exadata & ZDLRA Admins and Oracle DB

Role Summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is hiring an Infrastructure Engineer III - Exadata & ZDLRA Admins and Oracle DB for its Employee Platforms Team at Embassy Tech Village in Bengaluru. In this senior database and infrastructure engineering role, you will lead day-2 administration, capacity planning, and high-availability operations for enterprise Oracle Exadata Database Machines and Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance (ZDLRA) systems. You will manage Exadata-hosted KVM virtual machines, automate database operations using Ansible and Python, execute incident recovery under strict SLAs, and leverage enterprise AI capabilities to streamline capacity monitoring and resiliency analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Oracle Exadata & DB Administration: Perform hands-on administration, tuning, and incident response across Oracle Exadata Database Machines, Oracle RAC, ASM, Grid Infrastructure, and ZDLRA backup appliances.
• Exadata KVM & Virtualization Management: Oversee Exadata KVM host environments and guest VM fleets, handling patch management, capacity allocation, host-to-VM performance tuning, and safe maintenance execution.
• Automation & Infrastructure as Code: Build repeatable operational workflows, automated patching pipelines, and system maintenance scripts using Python, Shell scripting, Ansible, and Git.
• Observability & AI-Assisted Operations: Implement enterprise monitoring baselines using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), utilize AI-assisted capacity and risk analysis tools, and manage end-to-end telemetry across database clusters.

Key Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or related technical field.
• Experience: 3+ years of applied infrastructure engineering experience with deep hands-on Oracle Exadata production administration.
• Mandatory Technical Stack: Oracle Exadata, Oracle RAC, ASM, Grid Infrastructure, Exadata KVM/VMs, Linux Systems Administration, Shell scripting, Python, and Ansible automation.
• Preferred Technical Exposure: Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance (ZDLRA), Oracle Exascale, Terraform, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), and hybrid/public cloud database architectures.
