Infrastructure Engineer II

Role Summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is hiring an Infrastructure Engineer II within the Commercial & Investment Bank Payments Technology team at Embassy Tech Village in Bengaluru. In this enterprise infrastructure engineering role, you will build and support hybrid cloud deployment pipelines, manage containerized platforms using Kubernetes and Helm, administer Apache Kafka and Elasticsearch clusters, and drive automated deployment readiness across Linux environments. You will also utilize observability platforms and enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to analyze capacity trends, improve Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR), and ensure system resiliency.

Key Responsibilities

• Hybrid Cloud & CI/CD Engineering: Design, manage, and execute automated deployment pipelines across on-premise and public cloud environments using Jenkins, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, and Git.
• Messaging & Search Infrastructure: Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Apache Kafka messaging systems and Elasticsearch clusters to ensure high availability and resilient data streaming.
• Linux & Database Operations: Perform system administration, day-to-day maintenance, and troubleshooting on RHEL Linux platforms, while querying and monitoring relational and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB).
• Observability & AI-Assisted Monitoring: Leverage monitoring tools (Datadog, Dynatrace, Geneos, Grafana, OpenTelemetry) to diagnose root causes, conduct capacity risk evaluations, and leverage enterprise AI capabilities to streamline documentation and operational analysis.

Key Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps and Infrastructure Engineering.
• Mandatory Technical Stack: Kubernetes, Helm, Jenkins, Terraform, Linux/RHEL, Apache Kafka, Elasticsearch, Git, Observability tools (Datadog, Dynatrace, Geneos, Grafana), and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Preferred Technical Exposure: Python or PowerShell scripting, CKA/CKAD or AWS/Terraform certifications, OpenTelemetry telemetry standards, and payments technology domain experience.
