Role Overview
IQVIA features an opportunity for a Software Development Engineer / Associate Data Analyst within the IQVIA IVP Product Team in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India (Hybrid). In this product analytics and technical analysis role, you will contribute to the design and delivery of business analytics dashboards, reporting platforms, and data workflows supporting pharmacovigilance and global safety products. The position focuses on translating business requirements into clear technical specifications, modeling metrics using Looker Studio Pro and LookML, executing data validation checks with Python and SQL, and collaborating with cross-functional software delivery teams within an Agile environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Requirements Engineering & Documentation: Partner with Product Managers and technical delivery teams to capture, analyze, and document functional requirements, creating Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), user stories, and use cases.
- BI & Dashboard Development: Support the creation of business analytics dashboards and operational reports for pharmacovigilance safety platforms utilizing Looker Studio Pro and LookML.
- Data Analysis & Querying: Write and execute SQL queries and Python scripts to conduct data checks, perform exploratory analysis, and validate data integrity across product workflows.
- Agile Backlog & Knowledge Governance: Participate in sprint planning and backlog grooming sessions, maintaining project documentation in Confluence and tracking user stories in Jira.
- Quality & UAT Support: Validate business workflows, coordinate test coverage with QA engineers, and assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to confirm solutions meet end-user specifications.
- Process & Usability Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve product usability, optimize data validation steps, and align development with life sciences quality guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Professional Experience: 0 to 1 year of professional experience in data analysis, business systems analysis, or technical product delivery.
- Core Technical Exposure: Hands-on familiarity with SQL querying, Python scripting, and data visualization tools, specifically Looker Studio Pro and LookML.
- Agile Collaboration Tooling: Working familiarity with Jira for task management and Confluence for technical documentation.
- Analytical & Software Concepts: Solid grasp of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) concepts, Agile frameworks, and structured data validation techniques.
- Advantageous Capabilities: Familiarity with Snowflake, Power BI, JavaScript, modern development environments (e.g., Cursor), basic AI/ML concepts, or exposure to life sciences regulatory standards such as GxP or 21 CFR Part 11.
