Role Summary
Infosys Limited is hiring a Python Developer for its Data & Analytics Unit in Bengaluru, Karnataka. In this core backend engineering role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust web applications and RESTful APIs using Python and Django. You will construct high-performance data processing backends, write clean reusable code, optimize database ORM queries, implement automated unit/integration tests, and support continuous deployment workflows within an Agile delivery team.
Key Responsibilities
- Backend & API Development: Architect and construct backend components, versioned RESTful APIs, and microservices using Python and Django REST Framework (DRF).
- Database & Performance Tuning: Design efficient database schemas, optimize ORM queries, reduce request/response latency, and tune overall system application performance.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Write reusable, testable code; create unit and integration test suites; and resolve bug reports across development and production environments.
- CI/CD & Deployment Support: Participate in containerized deployments, manage Git version workflows, and support automated CI/CD build and release processes.
- Agile Collaboration: Participate in code reviews, contribute to backlog estimations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end features on time.
Key Qualifications
- Education: B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, or M.Sc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of professional backend software development experience using Python and web frameworks.
- Core Technical Stack: Strong mastery of Python, Django, Django REST Framework, relational databases, ORM models, and REST API design principles.
- Software Engineering Practices: Hands-on experience with unit/integration testing frameworks, Git version control, and query optimization techniques.
- Preferred Exposure: Familiarity with asynchronous task queues (Celery/Redis), Docker containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies.
