Role Summary
Infosys Limited is hiring a PLSQL Lead for its Application Development and Maintenance team in Bengaluru, Karnataka. In this technical leadership role, you will guide the architectural design, development, and maintenance of enterprise Oracle database systems. You will craft complex PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, and triggers, execute deep query performance tuning, perform root cause analysis for production issues, and mentor junior engineers within an Agile development framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership & Architecture: Lead the design, development, and architectural maintenance of Oracle database systems and scalable PL/SQL solutions.
- PL/SQL Development & Tuning: Engineer optimized stored procedures, packages, functions, triggers, and views; conduct advanced query tuning and performance optimization.
- Code Quality & Mentorship: Conduct rigorous code reviews, enforce coding standards and best practices, and mentor team members through technical guidance.
- Production Support & Troubleshooting: Investigate complex production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and provide timely bug resolutions.
- Cross-Functional Delivery: Collaborate with business analysts, testing teams, and release management across end-to-end Agile software delivery cycles.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech), BCA, MCA, or M.Tech in Computer Science or related IT disciplines.
- Experience: 5 to 8 years of core experience in Oracle Database design, data modeling, and advanced PL/SQL engineering.
- Core Technical Stack: Deep technical expertise in Oracle PL/SQL, stored procedures, packages, functions, views, triggers, and execution plan optimization.
- Scripting & Tooling: Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting, Git version control, and query optimization tools.
- Preferred Exposure: Knowledge of ETL processes, data migration workflows, Oracle APEX, Oracle Forms/Reports, and cloud database migrations.
