Automation Testing (Java, Playwright)

Role Summary

Infosys Limited is hiring an Automation Testing Engineer (Java, Playwright) for its Engineering Services practice in Bangalore. In this QA automation role, you will design, execute, and maintain test automation scripts using Playwright and Java/TypeScript for web applications. You will perform both UI and API test automation, build and extend testing frameworks, analyze test results, and integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Automation Framework & Scripting: Develop, enhance, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright with Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• UI & API Testing: Perform end-to-end automation testing for web interfaces and RESTful API endpoints using framework assertion libraries like TestNG or JUnit.
• CI/CD & Defect Management: Log and track software defects, analyze automation test logs, and integrate test suites into continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Agile Collaboration: Work closely with developers and product teams to translate functional requirements into test scenarios, ensuring robust quality assurance standards across the software development lifecycle.

Key Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E./B.Tech), MCA, or M.Tech degree in Computer Science or related fields.
• Experience: 2–3 years of hands-on experience in test automation.
• Mandatory Technical Stack: Java (Core Java), Playwright automation framework, JavaScript/TypeScript, TestNG or JUnit, REST API testing, and Git version control.
• Preferred Technical Exposure: Selenium WebDriver, Jenkins, Maven, SQL, and Finacle-IVS domain expertise.
